The Christmas Cracker
By Stephanie Wood
This is the second book in the Christmas on the Close series. I didn’t enjoy it as much as the first one, but it was a good story. It’s a charming little story about a happy family, mom, her son (Jacob), and the man they both love, who isn’t the Jacob’s real father. This is the story of how a family adapts when Jacob’s real father comes back into the picture wanting to be more involved in his son’s life.
It’s a cute story about reflecting on the past, the choices we made in that past, and the choices we make for the future. This story didn’t grab me as much as the first, but it was still cute and I enjoy getting to know the neighbors on the Close. If you are looking for a light, quick read, these books are the perfect palate cleanser.
